UPDATE - 19 JULY 2017: Zelda is a super sweet playful girl that loves to be around her people and dogs. She will follow us around in the backyard when she isn't romping with her doggy buddy.
Zelda loves to romp and play with our younger beagle and play bows to our cats. There is no aggression here just almost frantic need to play with everyone she meets. Think puppy. Zelda is respectful of our older beagle and will lay down beside her in quieter moments. She has a large bark for her size and would not make a good apartment or condo dweller.
Zelda has a bit of anxiety and will do best in a home with consistency and a second dog who can assure her everything is OK. During a recent thunderstorm she walked into our "thunder crate" and snuggled up next to Herbie in the crate during the worst of the booms.
She has not had a single accident and is a very good house guest. She has had some inappropriate chewing episodes, however that may be because she has not completely settled into her new environment. We give her a toy in exchange whatever she is chewing on and everything is good. She has a clue about house-training and potties on the leash.
First impressions: Zelda is a 3- to 4-year-old spayed female that is fully vetted and ready for a new home. She is very friendly and good with other dogs. She was a stray at the Louisa County Animal Shelter so her history is unknown.
