I've Been Adopted!

UPDATE - 11 MAY 2017: Weaver is a very mellow, easy-going dog. He has a gentle and quiet nature which makes him easy to manage and teach. He pretty much does whatever our other dogs do. He loves people and likes to follow us all over the house and explore wherever he goes.  He will sit in the living room quietly as long as he has a comfortable space of his own. Weaver likes the outdoors as much as any beagle, but when he's inside he's a regular couch potato. He is a handsome fellow and is cutely bow-legged! He keeps his crate clean and has only had a few accidents outside the crate. He is calm to transport in the car and walks nicely on leash.

Overall, Weaver is a very loving and submissive dog who likes but does not demand attention. We think he would be very good with other pets and with children. Weaver has the sweetest disposition and is happiest when he's relaxing with people. More than anything, he just wants to be your loyal companion!

First impressions: Weaver is a 7- to 8-year-old male.  He's friendly and very happy to have a comfortable place to sleep and regular meals.  He gets along with other dogs and was a stray at the Madison County Animal Shelter so his history is unknown. Stay tuned as we get to know Weaver better!

  1. My Brew beaglelove Earl The Pearl just passed after 9 loving years. I’m interested in Leroy .

  2. I would like to know what Weaver weighs and if he has any medical issues. We lost our wonderful beagle we adopted from BREW at the age of 15 but still have a 16 1/2 year old rescued 29 lb beagle. I also requested information on Tiny.

  3. Hi there! Have here been any updates on Weaver’s foster care or personality/behavior? He looks like a sweetie, and we’ve been looking for a senior beagle to enjoy his days away with our own senior beagle. Thanks!

Hi, Lissa – Weaver has been in his new foster home for about a week, and we don’t yet have an update on him. His foster family will likely provide one soon. Thanks for your interest!
