New from foster home: Tug Boat is doing well in his foster home. It has been interesting in watching his personality come out over the course of the last week. He plays with my dogs (also beagles) and loves to go on walks and sniff. He also LOVES to chew. . He has gone through about 10 toys and I have now put them all away except for the indestructible (like Nylabone) ones.
He has been sleeping in his crate when I am gone and at night (in a crate near my bed). So far, he has been doing well in the house training department – no mistakes so far. Tugboat takes direction well and is just generally sweet. Yesterday, he jumped into the shower with me. What a nut!
What a showman Tugboat is! He showed off his obedience skills - knows Sit and Down like a champ! He also have a firm grasp on how to play with a stuffed animal.
He loved spending time with the kids who visited the adoption event.
If you want a happy, eager, enthusiastic beagle who has a great sense of humor - ADOPT TUGBOAT!
Tugboat is our new BREW buddy from Montgomery County. He was picked up as a stray there and no one claimed him. Tugboat is a short, stocky kind of guy. Small but sturdy at 28 pounds. He is believed to be about 5 years old. He rode very nicely from the shelter to our vet where he will finish up his vaccines and stuff. 2 hours in the crate and the crate was clean and dry at the end. He is very excited about being free, so his leash manners need some work, hence the Tugboat title.
