UPDATE - 12 AUGUST 2018: Sydney is so happy to find herself in a home and feeling good. She was in pretty rough shape when she came to BREW, poor girl. But after a dental and the right medications she is on her way to good health. Sydney is a little hesitant about going outside – she needs to learn that going out doesn’t mean being stuck outside. And she has spent the last two evenings cuddled with me on the chair and giving me little kisses every once in a while. The first night she was with me, I wasn’t thinking at bedtime and just took her back into the bedroom with the others (normally a new foster would be crated overnight). But there were no accidents overnight. In fact there have been no house training issues at all so far. I don’t know if it’s luck or training – too soon to say for sure. Sydney gets along with the other dogs and the cats. Like a true beagle, she eats very fast and loves to get treats. She is an all-around sweet girl.
NEW- 8 AUGUST 2018: Sydney came to BREW as a stray from Isle of Wight County in Virginia. She is about 6 years old and weighs 33 pounds. She was able to join us at our last adoption event en route to our vet and seemed to love everyone who gave her attention. Her skin was a bit of a mess when we first got her, so she has been visiting with our vet for a couple of weeks while she gets cleaned up and finishes her vetting. She will be heading to a foster home in a few days, so stay tuned as we learn more about this gal who is overdue for some TLC!
