14 FEBRUARY 2016: Steve was adopted earlier this year, but has come back to BREW and has returned to his original foster home. He was adopted to an apartment and did not adjust very well. We think Steve would be happiest in a home with a yard and another, more confident dog.
2 JANUARY 2016: Steve has been in my home for two weeks now. If you are looking for a low key, non-barker, super cuddly beagle, this is the guy for you. He gets along with other dogs and enjoys an occasional romp with them in the yard. He loves to be in your lap and when he gets super relaxed will fall over into you. He has had two accidents in the house, but has gotten used to going in and out the doggy door, though I wouldn't say he is 100% house trained as I make sure I let him out in the yard on a regular basis and he doesn't always come back inside until I call him. He sleeps through the night and has only woken me up once when he had to go. He will occasionally chew but will stop when you tell him no. He gets along with children (3 & 6 years old). If I didn't already have a full house, I would adopt him myself.
First Impressions - Steve is a new addition to the BREW pack. He spent most of his life, to date, helping veterinarians learn to be vets. Now that he’s retired from his teaching position, he wants to learn to be a regular beagle. Steve is about 3 years old and weighs 25 pounds. He likes people and other dogs and is a little nervous about his change of situation.
