Digger

Hi my name is Digger. And no, I am not a bad boy that digs in the yard – it’s just a name I was given from the shelter (I don’t miss that place!).

I was off the website for a little bit and now I’m back, feeling like my old self again (I had hurt my leg – but I’m better now). I’ve been told I look like a teddy bear and I like to lean up and give hugs to everyone I like! Foster mommy says it melts her heart when I do that, it’s so sweet! I do love my treats and food! I have put on a couple pounds since I’ve been here in my foster home, I was pretty skinny previously! I came out of an Ohio shelter, as a boy that needed some TLC, and BREW really took care of me. I had a dental recently and had to have 9 bad teeth removed, that really helped!  I really love life in my foster home, there are some fun beagle girls here teaching me all about the good life (playing with toys, running around in the fenced yard, going on our daily walks).

Here’s what my foster mom has to say about me: Digger is a very sweet mixed breed boy (about the size of a 15" beagle, just with a really soft curly coat of hair). Overall he is a very quiet boy; he prefers calm environments with people and dogs he knows. He is very sweet and easy to take care – he NEVER has accidents (and can go really long periods holding it), totally non-destructive (except to his own dog toys- shredding is fun!). He allows us to use the dremel nail file on his nails, brush him, and clean his ears. You can tell grooming stuff is not one of his favorite things, but he will hold still for them to be done. He has had run of the house here because he is such an angel (obeys baby gates). He sleeps all thru the night on a dog bed in our room. He loves to snuggle on the couch with you - and is the ever faithful companion that will follow you everywhere.  His ideal home would be with a rescue experienced family in a ranch home or an apartment where he doesn't have to do stairs all the time. He is the master of the toy box here, and is never found without many toys scattered around him now or one in his mouth.
