Our two beagles came to us directly from our friends at BREW. Their mother was in the care of a BREW foster home when she had a litter of two girls and a boy. One little girl was adopted quickly by a family with two children while the other girl and the boy remained in foster care. My husband, who had grown up with beagles, and I were ready to add a beagle to the family when I happened across the BREW web site. While exploring the site I saw a beautiful little pup who looked like he wanted me as much as I wanted him. My husband and I went to meet someone from BREW and the pup the next day.

During our visit with the male pup, who I fell in love with instantly, the BREW representative brought out the female pup, who my husband fell in love with instantly. They were cute, outgoing, healthy and enormously curious! Unable to decide on just one and unable to split up the two siblings we decided to open up our home and hearts to both of them.

Fred and Ginger have been wonderful additions to our house ever since. This is not to say that there weren't times, especially in the begining, that we would have rather had a nice house plant instead of two 12 week old pups. But the good times far outweighed the bad and we couldn't be happier with our decision to adopt two pups instead of just one. They love to play with each other which gives us a little more time to get chores done without feeling the guilty for not playing with them every minute that we are home. They love to snuggle down together at bedtime but most of all they love to wrestle with each other out in the snow. Fred and Ginger remain the cute, outgoing, healthy and enormously curious pups just as they were when we got them. Although Fred, weighing in at 37 lbs, is nearly twice the height and size of Ginger who weighs in at 22lbs.

Our lives have changed for the better since they came home with us, we spend more time at home and leave work just a little earlier. It does get hectic trying to fit work, school and pups into our waking hours, but somehow we manage.
