Mable BREW-Bridgman went to the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2002.

Mable (a.k.a. Woo-Woo) came to BREW in March, 2001. No vet would even hazard a guess of her age. She was diagnosed with both mammary cancer and congestive heart failure. At that time the doctor estimated she had possibly 3 months of life.

Mable became a "permanent foster" member of our family and had been with us 15 months. It seems that she'd been here all her life. She became an important and cherished member of our "pack" and was ensconced as the "queen of the house" in short order. She had her uncontested spot on both the sofa and the bed! No dog (not even the alpha) would take her spot, lest a big old hound trample them. If we did not know the joy of having a senior dog before she came, we certainly grew to know what it is in those 15 months. We believe she enjoyed her retirement and grew to love us as well.

Mable left us for the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, June 16th. We miss her greatly and feel both thankful and blessed that, during her life's journey, she stopped at our home long enough to become part of our family, and shower us with her eternal beauty.
