Spring Bea left us for the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, March 26, 2005.

Spring Bea, a.k.a. BB, came to us from the Town of Louisa (Virginia) where she was found running down the middle of the road by a BREW foster mom. There was no owner in sight and no one ever came forward to claim her.

BB was old when she arrived. Her face already white, her body badly deteriorated from litter after litter of puppies, but this dog had a big heart and the gentlest soul one could ever wish to know.

In the year + she graced our home she never made one sound. Not a bark, not a howl, not a whine. She could not have been a better family member. All she required was a pat on the head, and a scratch behind the ear. We loved her for suffering our little “pack” idiosyncrasies (can’t lay down and touch the alpha male, can’t go out the door in front of the other female, etc.) with the style and grace only a senior dog could.

We miss her so much, and we will always be thankful to her for touching our lives and making them more worthwhile just by knowing her.
