No. We believe BREW rescue beagles, and all companion dogs, should be housed indoors with the family. Many of our beagles have come from unfortunate backgrounds and our goal is to place them in warm loving homes where they are secure. We do not consider a doghouse a safe, secure environment. Beagles can (and will) get into dangerous situations when left outside. They can be stolen, poisoned, attacked by other animals or fall victim to the elements. They can also get bored and bark constantly, which will not make you popular with the neighbors. A bored beagle may be motivated to dig up your yard OR dig under the fence and escape. Considering these circumstances we choose not to adopt our beagles to people looking for outside dogs. If you plan on leaving a "companion" dog outside, you may want to reconsider.
