We just wanted to send a note of thanks for the 3 years we had with our BREW beagle Sadie. She was put to sleep today after suffering from adenocarcinoma for 4 1/2 months.

She was a loving, sweet dog. Our family loved to take her on walks, and watch as she tried every technique to wrangle food out of our 2 year-old (although he was quite a willing participant in this game). She made us laugh when even the smallest dog (or cat) would make her shake and hide behind us. She managed to convert her two "no dogs in the house" grandpas into dog lovers. We will even miss her when the next thunderstorm comes and we don't have a panting, shaking beagle in our bed warning us of impending doom. Most of all we will miss the dog that met us at the door with a happily wagging tail and calmly took any kid's pestering and chase in stride. It will be hard to ever again find such a sweet companion.
