Jen and Pete

Shatzie, as we found out means "little precious" in German and indeed she is. We are madly in love with her. Shatzie just turned 7 on Dec. 23, 2003, unfortunately we found out a day late but she celebrated her birthday with a special treat, "Frosty Paws". She just loves them!

We had been trying to rescue a dog for about a month but had no luck. Until one day on one of my many searches on the internet I found BREW beagles. In looking through the many pages of beagles I wanted to take them all until I saw Shatzie, I fell in love with her immediately. Shatzie's owners had to sadly give her up because their 2 yr. old developed severe allergies to her. My fiancée was a bit hesitant to adopt an older dog but when he saw her at the adoption show he fell in love with her too! Now I can't keep him away from her. He calls her "pup" and "little girl" even though she is 7, nobody can tell him otherwise.

Luckily for us we were the fortunate couple who got to adopt her!!

Shatzie was brought to our home on Dec. 14, 2003; she was our perfect Christmas present. Shatzie ran in and greeted us and made herself at home, I think she remembered us from the day before at the BREW adoption show. She ran through the house and checked it out and encountered her new favorite thing, our fish tanks. She seems to be fascinated by them and loves to watch them swim around. We are very happy to have Shatzie; she brings a lot of joy into our new home.
