We adopted Koral the weekend after Christmas. We changed her name to Scooter because she was always trying to scoot out the door. We have been active in Greyhound rescue for over 10 years and had a reputation of being the home for the hard to adopt cases. Before we got Scooter, we had Lucy our 12 year old greyhound. Earlier, in October, we lost our other greyhound, Sammy to cancer. It was very traumatic seeing Sammy through his cancer. After he died, the house was very quiet with ony Lucy about. In December, we decided to get another dog. We wanted something smaller and my Mom and Dad have always had rescued Beagles so we looked around for a Beagle Rescue source and found BREW. Scooter came to us shortly thereafter.

Scooter is a perfect Beagle dog. She is very smart, and everyone is captivated by her intelligence and good beagle looks. She doesn't bark or do anything bad. She sleeps with us in the big bed and you never know she is there.

In January, Mickey came to live with us. Mickey is a banged up ex-racer from Wisconsin. he is very tall and nearly a black brindle. Mickey is just off the track but he really likes Scooter and Lucy. We are a complete family now. My husband, me, Lucy, Scooter, and Mickey.
