Day 1 - I rediscover why I have no children. PDF Print E-mail

Day One - in which I rediscover why I have no children. The pups settled In to their "holding cell", and promptly shredded every sheet of newspaper to nearly microscopic pieces. I fed them and gave them water...Locusts have NOTHING on beagle puppies. They descended on the bowls much like a school of piranhas. Then I took them outside - the great outdoors in a securely fenced yard - beagle heaven! Lori figured out the doggie door immediately. This was not planned, but adjustments were made, and playtime proceeded uneventfully. Until the rains came. And one of them approached Daisy to try to nurse...her bark IS worse than her bite. So they went back in their pen and fell asleep. For about five seconds. I brought out the chew toys. I decided to put them all in one big crate to sleep so I could put them in the bedroom with the rest of us. This seemed like a good idea at the time. Until about three in the morning, a nasty smell woke me up. I got them all cleaned up and put them back in their holding cell. So much for the crate idea!

Day Two begins with the realization that no matter how well prepared you think you are, the key is, you only THINK you are!

Time to feed the pack.

Becky
