My name is Pippin and I’m the cutest little girl beagle you’ve ever seen. My new person, Jeff, says I’m Pippin from The Lord of the Rings, not the musical. I was born into a nice family who took me to the vet and did all the doggie things people need to do. But something happened, maybe they had to move, so I ended up in a foster home at BREW, which is a very good option for very cute little beagles. The people they call my foster home were very nice and they were so sweet to take me to the July BREW adoption.

Grace and Jeff were at adoption day early. I found out later that they were looking for several different beagles, but I was on their list and I think it was love at first sight. Well, it was for them, I was too busy checking out all the smells and sights of the pet store. Did you know they have food and toys and all sorts of stuff? Wow, it was great.

So these people, Grace (she’s the Mom and does computer stuff) and Jeff (he’s the son and he’s a high school teacher) apparently looked at a few of my BREW mates and then took me off to a quiet corner. I knew I impressed them because I do “sit” and “come” (but, really, how tough is that?) and we had fun looking at toys. I told them what I wanted and they said “Ok” so it’s clear that they are trainable.

The great thing about BREW is that you have a foster home and so people know what it’s like to live with you. Grace and Jeff talked with my foster family and they adopted me even before the adoption table opened up. Like I said, I am one very cute beagle.

We have a great house with a fenced in back yard. They don’t have any more Johnny Jump Ups in the garden because I jumped all over them. But, they don’t seem to mind.

They do have these pillows things on the couch that I have to take off so I can get in the corners. But, if that’s all that I have to complain about, oh well.

They seem to like that I poop and piddle outside. What’s the deal? This is not rocket science. But I’m glad they’re happy. They’re very good at skritching my ears, Grace has had beagles before, so she knows that fingers behind the ears feel very good. And I have a brother, Sonny Madison, they said he’s a horse, but I haven’t been nose-to-nose yet, although, I understand he’s very big.
