by the Leparski family

One Sunday my Foster Mom took me to a house in Tinley Park, I didn't know it at the time but the family I met would become my family. I was a little nervous going into yet another new place. After being in the Chicago pound for a month, being bitten by another dog, then to my foster mom's place I was a little confused. Well, from the start things went well. There is this big guy Leo, I think he fell in love with me from first sight, He's the Dad of the family, Marlene is my new Mom, there is Grandma, she lets me in and out all day! There is a man John, who is always taking my picture, guess he likes Beagles too! And Oh yes don't let me forget to mention my step sister Cookie, she doesn't play as much as I 'd like guess cause she is 14. But she has shown me the routines around here. The chow is GREAT! We have breakfast, Dog bones and some times bacon & eggs, I found out sausage ain't bad either, Cookie taught me how to eat off a fork. At dinner we have Science Diet and meat from dinner. We have a big backyard to run, play, and aarroooooo in. Our yard is fenced, the sheltie neighbors get to run free, I guess they are not free thinkers like us Beagles. Someday I'm going to catch on of those pesky rabbits I see out here! we are all allowed to sit or lay on the furniture, man was I surprised. They even let me sleep in a regular bed if I want. We, Dad, Mom, Cookie, and I, go for rides in the car, I like to look out the window and watch the changing scenery. They tell me of a place called Michigan, a big backyard and a lake, and some new kind of critters, they call them chipmunks& squirrels, They say we will go there when it gets warmer. I really feel loved here. Well, its time to go, Mom just called cookie and I for Dinner, sure smells good! Bye for now.
