The Tyriver Family

It will be three years this Christmas that Sport came to be a part of our family (Christmas 1999). Sport was abandoned by his owner and was lucky enough to find his way to BREW. Because BREW New England was not yet established, we kept looking at BREW in Virginia as a possible place to find a family pet. I emailed Teresa and explained that one of my children is autistic and that we really wanted to find a dog that would be sweet- natured and do well with her. Well, she told me to take a peek at a picture of a dog named, 'Louie'. I fell in love at once! After the proper paperwork and emails back and forth, not to mention a request to start calling him 'Sport', we went to Virginia to visit family for Christmas and came home with the best present of all!!

Sport has been such a wonderful addition to our family! He is adorable (he's a Beagle after all :-) and he loves to cuddle and is so content to just be wherever you are. We love to take Sport in the car with us as much as we can as it's one of his favorite activities. He loves the kids and my husband to pieces, but of course he loves his Momma best! (He's under my feet as I type.)

Sport is sooo good-natured and we were actually able to get him to the point of being off-leash with us when we're in our yard. Who would have thought that of a Beagle who could have 5 acres to roam?? But he just wants to be with the people he loves and who love him!

I will forever be thankful that I came across BREW on the internet and that we were able to find Sport! Adding Sport to our family really filled a hole we didn't even know we had!!
