Hi, Phoenix here let me tell you a little about myself: I’m a big bagel boy - that’s beagle/basset mix. I like every human I’ve met, even the little ones. I’m potty trained, but foster mom puts me in a crate when she goes to work. I don’t mind, though, I’m pretty easy going - I just don’t like loud noises, like fireworks or thunder. I like to play a little, but I don’t run around the yard like the others. Whether I’m in the shade outside or in a comfy chair inside, my favorite thing to do is just watch the world go by. I also like to snuggle with foster mom & get belly rubs. I have a fairly high prey drive, but I’ve been around cats & don’t really care too much about them. I love riding in the car & walking in the park. Which brings me to what foster mom calls my only fault. When I’m on a leash I don’t like big dogs. I like my foster sisters & I don’t mind the other dogs at the dog park, but something happens when I’m on a leash.

From foster mom: Phoenix is just a big bundle of love. He’s always happy & his tail doesn’t stop wagging. Given half the chance, he will smother you with kisses.
