I've been adopted!

Age: 8 years

Gender: Male

Adoption Day Info:

Hi! My name is Nemo. But you won’t have any trouble finding me – just look in the yard! My favorite thing in the whole world is to sniff all of the exciting smells out there. If I smell something really good, I’ll even bay a bit. That’s about the only time I speak. I love going for walks too but I need some lessons on not pulling so much. I like being outside so much, my foster parents have to be careful not to leave doors open or I’ll be out in a flash.

My favorite indoor activity is EATING! Call me whatever you like, just don’t call me late for dinner! I have very good indoor manners except when food is involved. I’m not aggressive about food but boy am I determined. The other night my foster dad made the mistake of leaving his turkey sandwich on the coffee table. It was delicious!

When food isn’t involved, I’m a real gentleman. I like to sleep at my foster parents’ feet or in my foster-sister’s doggie bed. I’m not too interested in sitting on people furniture. I don’t bark inside the house. I don’t like spending a lot of time in my crate, but I’m a good sport about it when I have to.

I’m very easy going. I get along fine with my foster dog sister Nellie & all the neighborhood dogs that we’ve met on our walks. My foster family doesn’t have children but I’ve met the neighbor’s children & we get along great. Based on my behavior on a visit to the vet, my foster parents think I might not be the best dog for a home with cats. Maybe I just love cats too much??? My foster parents hope that we never find out first hand.

My foster parents think that I’d be happy in a home with a fenced yard. I don’t need other dogs to be content but I’d be ok if there were other dogs. I’m a very low-maintenance guy with a sweet disposition. I’d fit great into most homes & be a fun addition to any family.

I’m looking forward to meeting my forever family!

Nemo
