Cyrus

I've been adopted!

Age: 6 years

Gender: Male

Adoption Day Info:

Hi everyone my name is Cyrus, and I am a compact package of love. My life prior to BREW was not great, but that all changed when I was rescued. There are some things that I truly love - toys, snuggling and WALKS!!!! I get so excited when we get ready for a walk that I knock myself over wiggling. Foster mom and dad say that I walk nicely, spending more time walking than sniffing. However, I will let out an ARROOO when I see a squirrel or catch a scent. When I am not on a walk I like to unload the basket of dog toys, and spread them all around the house or snuggle next to my foster parents on the couch.

I am crate trained and housebroken. I go into my crate when foster mom and dad leave for work, and I keep my crate clean all day (I do get a mid-day potty break). I have only had two small accidents in the house which were likely the result of a schedule change. I am on a potty schedule (that is what the resident Beagle requires), so I will need a little time in my forever home to let you know when I need to go potty. My foster parents think I could eventually have the run of the house. I am extremely gentle, and I get along great with just about everyone including a Beagle and a cat that live in my foster home. Although there are no children in my foster home, I have not demonstrated any issues with the numerous children in the neighborhood. I am looking for a forever home that will be willing to spend lots of time loving me – is that you?

Note from Cyrus’ Foster Parents: Cyrus is one of the sweetest and most tender dogs we have encountered. He has been very easy to have in our home, and he is very smart. Cyrus may need some adjustment time to the sounds of his forever home - it took him some time with our home. Cyrus will do well as an only dog or with another dog that is not dominant.
