I've been adopted!

Age: 2 years

Gender: Female

Adoption Day Info:

Hi everyone, I'm Devin.  BREW found me in a shelter and rescued me.

I am a very pretty little beagle girl who loves to play with kids, with other dogs, and definitely toys.  I love to chew on all kinds of chews.  Foster mom has a big basket inside the house that she puts down everyday and I just love to pick and choose from it.  Outside there is another basket full of chews as well.  I can entertain myself for hours with the young resident beagle switching chews back and forth.  Yummy!  Another one of my favorite things is rolling all over each other while playing with the squeaky toys.  I am very good and do not usually chew the toys apart.

Although I do not always like it, I am crated during the day when foster mom has errands to run and when no one is at home.  I am also crated at night.  I am proud to say I have never gone potty in my crate.   When put in my crate with a treat, I might whimper for a minute or two but I settle down in there.  I keep trying to tell foster mom I want to be free like the other two resident beagles, but she says I need to earn that freedom and I am safe in my crate when she is gone.

I am working hard on the potty outside in the yard thing.  Foster mom leashes me and takes me outside to the same spot to potty.  She gets real happy when I go potty outside.  I like to please foster mom (she does have those two baskets full of chews) so I go outside and I get lots of praise and rubs for doing it.

Speaking of rubs, at night time that is what I love best.  After running and playing all day, I am tuckered out and need to curl up with you for some rubbing.  I will just lay across your lap (its OK I am only 16 lbs.) and let you pet away.   Are there any families out there that might have an extra lap and hand for me?  Just contact BREW and we can arrange it.

Foster mom now says I am housetrained.  I have not had an accident in the house for over two weeks.  I have been working very hard on that.

And for the first time foster mom let me sleep on the couch last night with the other dogs instead of my crate.  Well, I started on the couch and let foster mom pet me for awhile, then I jumped down and slept in a doggie bed all night.  Foster mom says I earned the chance to sleep out of the crate and I was a good girl all night.  Come to think of it, she is always telling me I am a good girl!!!

Gotta go, the young resident boy beagle has the chew I want.  Look out here I come to get it, anyway I can!!!
