Available Beagles

Forest

I am available for adoption!

Age: 3-5 years

Gender: Male

Adoption Day Info:

Hi, my name is Forest. Since I’ve been with my foster family for a while now, I figured I’d give you all an update. I’m a full grown beagle boy with the sweetest disposition. I’m not a small guy, but not fat either. I am a little shy when I first meet new people, but it doesn’t take me long to warm up to anyone, especially if they rub my belly. I love them so much that when you stop, I’ll make sure I nudge your arm to keep rubbing me. Like most Beagles, my nose is always to the ground when I’m outside. I love to run around the yard so a fence is a must for me. I go in my crate when no one is home and at night without a fuss, but I’d rather just snuggle up on the bed or couch. My foster family will say I’m more of an attention hound than anything else so you can pet me all day if you like, I won’t mind.

I am house trained and do very well on a leash. I’ll only have an accident in the house if you forget to make sure I do my business outside. I also love to go for daily walks so I can get all my smells in. I do very well with other dogs too and would love a playmate. We have an older Beagle here at my foster home and we play as much as he is willing to. I still like to chew on things so you need to be careful where you leave your shoes or toys (I am getting better though). I’m still not much of a barker unless I sniff something that I want to find or if I see a rabbit. I was an outside dog before, but now that I’ve been with my foster family for a while, I’m pretty used to all the indoor noises.

I’m great with kids too because they all think I’m soooooo cute and give me tons of attention which I love so much. I’m great in the car and I’ll just sit there quietly until we get to wherever we’re going. Overall, I’m a pretty laid back guy and will fit right in with an active family who will take me for daily walks and give me lots of love. If you’re looking for a happy, loving, and friendly Beagle to warm your heart, I’m your man.
