Isiah

1/18 – Isiah captured my heart very quickly.  I didn’t plan on taking a third foster home from the last adoption day, but Isiah is so sweet and loving I could not resist him.  And he is so skinny, I wanted to fatten him up.  He isn’t all beagle – there is some other hound mixed up in there.  He is a very handsome, regal looking dog.  He is about 28 pounds and very leggy, but isn’t much taller than a beagle.  His height allows him to counter surf, an ability that he likes to put to use.

Isiah is new to home life and despite the weird noises that startle him, he loves it.  I think the cushy couches where he can cuddle up to people tops the list of favorite activities.  He likes exploring the yard, but right now he seems to prefer to be inside (I think he has spent enough time outside to last him for awhile).  Isiah gets along very well with the other dogs and loves to play.  He isn’t housetrained, and two days really isn’t enough time to make progress in that direction.  At feeding time he is very happy to receive his bowl and cleans his plate.  He has been overnighting in the basement with foster brother Crunch.  The first night he sat by the basement door and cried a bit, but was calm during all of his second night.  He and Crunch both wait quietly until they are let out in the morning.

Isiah is a 1-2 year old neutered male beagle mix.  He is very friendly and very puppy-ish.  He is probably mixed with hound but is fairly small, just a couple of inches taller than you average beagle but looks fairly leggy.  He weighs in just at 25lbs.  He is super sweet, loves to play and gets along great with other dogs.  He was a stray at Franklin Co. so his history is unknown.
