Daytona

11/18/08: Daytona was adopted by folks who didn't care enough about him. But he is back and with an experienced foster family. This is what they say about him:  Daytona is a terrific little dog.  He likes to curl up next to me on the sofa.  NO accidents in the house so far.  He does well in the crate.  Last night he slept outside the crate - again he was quiet and had no accidents.  Now I'm only crating him when I go to work.  The only negative I can find is that he's a barker when he's left outside.  But it's no problem because he comes running inside when I call him. (maybe those other people just left him out all the time?)  He's also really cute and playful with my dog.  Daytona is a good boy.  It's been fun taking care of this frisky little guy!

4/1/08: Daytona is very special. He has a pink love heart right in the middle of his nose that is unbelievable! I've never seen anything so cute. 

He's been with us for a few weeks now, and its been great to see his confidence grow. At first he was very afraid of everybody and everything - even his food! Now, he is beginning to express himself with that natural beagle joy, and knows faces are for kissing. He is very playful, and loves toys. He gets on well with our much older beagle. He is learning house manners, what furniture is not to be climbed or stood on, how to go up and down stairs at speed, and when its time to be quiet and sleep. He keeps his crate clean, and is beginning to understand his routine of potty outside. He is a fairly small guy, and probably suited to older children. He is very bright and interactive, forever curious, and is ready to transition into his forever home!

Daytona, 3-4yr old neutered male. He is fully vetted and ready for a better life. He's fairly small and a little reserved until he gets to know you. He gets along well with other dogs but was a stray at the Louisa County Animal Shelter so his history is unknown.
