Joli, the latest BREW beagle, was found suffering in a rural Virginia shelter. She had a very large tumor under her arm and several small tumors on her belly. The large tumor has been removed and the small tumors are scheduled to be removed on May 14th when she's spayed. The tumors will need to be evaluated to determine if they are benign or cancerous.
Update on Joli - one of her tumors was found to be cancerous. Hopefully the surgery removed all of the cancerous tissue. Xrays show thus far that there is no metastasis of the cancer to her chest.
After a secondary infection which almost killed her, Joli is now a very happy beagle who has no idea that people were so concerned about her!
BREW has committed to her care but your help would be appreciated since the surgeries will be costly and she'll need follow-up care.
