I've Been Adopted!

UPDATE - 9 SEPTEMBER 2017: Shirley had fun at the adoption event but is still looking for her furever home. One of the volunteers at the event described Shirley as a very sweet girl who did well on a leash (even pooped and peed). Her tail never stopped wagging, and she seemed to get along with every person and dog she met that day!

Initial Impressions: Shirley is a 4-year-old female beagle who was found as a stray in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She still has some vetting to be completed and will be available for adoption soon. Stay tuned as we get to know Shirley better!

  1. I would NOT make this sweet baby hunt, she would be a pampered house pet. Please update me on her progress.

Shirley is not yet in a foster home so we do not know much about her. Check back on her profile to follow her updates.

      • I am very interested in Shirley, however I am in CA. and won’t be home until July 26th. I do want to know if she gets along with cats because we have one who grew up with my special baby Coalby (adopted from BREW). So I need to know that info before I can take her. My email is llupyan@ if you can let me know her status. Thank you. Steeler is a wonderful loving cat.

      • I have been trying to leave a comment but your website is screwed up and won’t let me leave my comment.

  2. I was looking for a young beagle NMT 3 YOA thay I can train for rabbit hunting. Looking to spend NMT $200.00. Is that possible? From what I can tell, these untrained dogs ? are costing up to $500,00. Is that true?

Thank you for your interest in Shirley. Our beagles do not hunt. They are turned in by hunters because they are gun-shy. Our beagles are adopted to be members of a family and live indoors.
