9 FEBRUARY 2015: Scottie has settled into his foster home! He is in love with all of his foster brothers and sisters, both two and four legged (including cats!). He came in completely house- and crate-trained. He is able to stay in his crate overnight without any issues at all. Scottie is a little shy at first and takes a little bit to warm up to you, but in true beagle fashion is willing to do anything you want if you have food!!! He is so sweet that he just wants to help the other dogs eat their food. He is learning to wait patiently until the other dogs are finished eating and have walked away to ensure that they didn't miss any crumbs in their bowls. Sometimes it's hard to want to be so helpful. He loves to play and although a couple of mishaps with people shoes, he has learned what toys are his to play with. He does get scared with loud noises and would probably do best in a house that is quieter and with another dog.
Original info: Scottie is a 3- to 4-year-old neutered male who is fully vetted and ready for a home. He is very friendly, likes to play, and gets along well with other dogs. He was a stray in Cumberland County, Virginia so his history is unknown. He is moving to a foster home on February 1st, so stay tuned as we get to know him better!
