I've been adopted!

Age: 12 weeks

Gender: Female

Penny has settled into her foster home like only a beagle puppy can, by storm! She is a beautiful beagle that will cuddle with you, give you kisses, and play till she drops to the floor for a nap. She loves to play with cats, other dogs, and kids.

Her housetraining has come along much better than we expected and although she is not completely trained she is very close, which I think is because she is so smart. She loves to run in the yard and will stay there all day if you let her. She can now make it the whole night without needing to go outside for a potty break. This is one sweet girl that will make you smile just to be around.

Ugh, darn auto-correct. I know the difference between “Whole and hole”. 🙂

    Thanks for responding, Laura.

    Laura,
I submitted an application for Penny and a couple of other doggies that my family would consider. Do you have an idea when a volunteer might be able to contact us? I know that we are moving in 2 weeks, but we know the adoption process doesn’t happen overnight.

    Laura,
I submitted an application last week. Any idea when a volunteer might be able to contact me? Thanks so much! We are looking forward to adding a doggie to the family!

Ever since you posted Penny’s picture on Facebook I’ve been thinking about her. I recently said goodbye to my almost 16 year old beagle, Deacon, in January. And, I also so goodbye to my other beagle, Cletus, in June 2010 (he was 14). I’ve had a whole in my heart since January and I think it’s time to fill it with another beagle. I miss having food snatched out of my hands, I miss eating dinner with my plate over my head, I miss dog hair on my clothes, I miss having one sleep on top of my head and having another sleep alongside me at night. I miss all things beagle. Is Penny still available to adopt?
Is she good with little children? I have a 5 year old.

      Angela,

I’m so sorry for your loss. I know too well the holes that our canine companions can leave in us.

As for adopting, Penny has a number of approved adopters who are meeting her soon. However, if you’d like to be considered for other BREW beagles, please fill out an adoption application.

Thanks and let me know how else I can assist.

I would like to know a little more about how much it is to adopt penny. My daughter and I are thinking about getting a puppy but need to plan budget wise!
