UPDATE - 28 MAY 2018 (from Paul's new foster family): Paul came to live with us in a burst of joyousness. Whatever you have seen or heard about Paul's cuteness will be magnified many times over when you meet him. He trotted up and down the sidewalk with his chin and tail in the air, thrilled to meet anyone. He has large platter feet which quickened on sight of a squirrel, and that is the one time we heard him bark, the other being at meal time. Paul raced up and down the stairs, becoming fast friends with the current beagle occupants of the house. He pooped and peed while on the leash; he definitely has a clue about housetraining. Paul is a voracious chowhound whom we put in the crate while the others ate as he wolfed down his food and was eager for more; he also howled and begged mercilessly during human meal time so he spent a little more time in the crate. When considering Paul, the question you want to ask yourself is: do you want to be met at the door by a loping boy so excited to see you that when you pick him up, he squirms with delight and makes happy sounds in your ear? One thing Paul is not thrilled about is riding in the car; he immediately begins to drool and has been known to toss his cookies. Here he rides home from the park doing yoga breathing with me and chanting "This will end soon!" Otherwise, he is fearless, walking up to dogs much bigger than himself to say hello! Paul is a gorgeous little boy who will make a beagle lover very happy!
UPDATE - 26 MAY 2018: Paul went off to his new foster home today, so stay tuned as we get to know him better.
