I've been adopted!

Age: 4

Gender:Female

Miss Piggy is a confident, outgoing, sweet, beagle girl who moved right in without batting eye. Her manners and good behavior make us believe she was someone's pet before finding her way to BREW. She is easily adaptable and can be as high or low energy as you want. She just goes with the flow.

She is very good with kids and other dogs and has not shown any aggression around food, toys, other dogs, etc. She isn't exactly a cuddler but she keeps an eye on us and is always nearby. She is also relatively quiet, barking at the appropriate times and serenading us nightly with her gentle snoring.

[blockquote1] To quote a famous pig, "There is no one on the planet to compare with moi."[/blockquote1]

Miss Piggy is by no means *delicate* - she is tall and about 45 (solid not fat) pounds. As her name indicates, Miss Piggy eats with enthusiasm and a joie de vivre. It is highly entertaining to watch her do her happy dance when we get the food bowls out. We have seen no food aggression and she does a lovely sit and pose while waiting for treats to be doled out. She really enjoys a good chewie or two as an after-dinner aperitif.

Housetraining has not been a problem. When she needs to go outside, she waits patiently by the door. She has not had any accidents. She will gladly go out on leash to go potty and enjoys spending time outdoors. She really looks forward to her evening walks with her foster beagle brother. She is strong but not really a puller or doesn’t stay to sniff one area for too long. We walk for about 1/2 an hour but she would gladly keep going.

We crate her when we are going out and at bedtime. She has always kept her crate clean and dry. She goes in willingly...as long as there's a treat involved...doesn't fuss and settles down quickly.

Miss Piggy is no prima-donna, has a distinctive personality, and will make a wonderful addition to any home.

I’m really interested in Miss Piggy. Have sent in an adoption application and she was at the top of my list. Hope to hear from someone soon.

  3. I did fill out an adoption application for Miss Piggy on Jan. 30th and am still waiting to hear anything, but, in the meantime, I still don’t see any mention of “Adoption Pending” under her heading/name. Is there a reason or something wrong?

Oh my goodness! I love the photos with the squirrel. 🙂 Our Rocky does the same thing… just watches and plans for the day he might catch that squirrel.

  6. I would like to adopt Miss Piggy, but, if it’s a requirement that I foster her first, then I can do that too. Please let me know via my email address. Thank you and waiting anxiously to hear from you.

Ms. Cowan, please submit an adoption application on our website. That will get the approval process started so you can meet and possibly adopt Miss Piggy.
