I've Been Adopted!!

QUICK UPDATE - 19 APRIL 2014: Milt (who I am calling Henry b/c Milt just won't roll off my tongue) is calm and actually acts a bit scared/reticent most of the time, although he's got a bit of spunk in him and will play with his younger foster brother some. I haven't weighed him but he is definitely over 30 lbs, possibly mixed with a stockier breed; he is what I would say is on the bigger side of normal for a beagle and very sturdy. Milt is house- and crate-trained.  He is OK on a leash (although he pulls some because he startles easily).  I wouldn't recommend him for a house with kids; I don't think he would hurt them, but I think they would stress him out because he is leery about people.

Originial info: Milt is a 7- to 8-year-old male beagle, who is quiet, a little reserved, and fully vetted.  He was a stray in Madison County, Virginia, and his history is unknown. Check back for more once we get to know Milt better!

  1. We have another 16 yo beagle and just lost our 14 yo. Possibly interested in fostering Milt.

Hi, David – so sorry to hear about your loss. We do appreciate your potential interest in fostering! Have you ever fostered for or adopted from BREW before? If not, please go ahead and fill out a foster application HERE. If yes, let us know, and we’ll have a volunteer get in touch. Thanks!

      • Yes. We adopted Toby in 2000 from Brew. He just passed.
