UPDATE - 25 JUNE 2017: Leroy came to his foster home just three days ago and already he is just one of the crew - which consists of three other dogs and four cats. He made himself at home immediately - introducing himself to both the dogs and the cats. Leroy likes running around the yard and trying to snuggle with the other dogs, but he seems to have had more success with the cats. Leroy also loves people - he runs up to anyone new and greets them, jumping up and down and dancing around. He has a nice energy level - he is equally comfortable playing in the yard or lying quietly by my side. I've seen no undesirable habits - he seems to be house trained, doesn't chew on anything that isn't a dog toy, is curious but well behaved with the cats, doesn't gulp down his food and isn't food aggressive. He isn't a big barker but does bark when he really wants something - like for another dog to play with him. But he is a beagle. His is a nice size - about 27 pounds. Bottom line - Leroy is one great dog!
First impressions: This handsome boy is 1-2 years old and was a stray from Beckley, WV. Leoroy is 29 lbs of energy, and he loves dogs and kids. He has a clue about house training and rides well in the car but needs more work on walking on a leash. Leroy has some vetting to take care of and will be available in a few weeks.
