I've Been Adopted!

UPDATE - 8 OCTOBER 2016: Jet recently joined us and has been a fine house guest. He is a happy, goofy guy that loves everyone and has never met a stranger. He would love a forever home.  He is crate-trained and will often lay down in the crate to take a nap. He sleeps through the night with an occasional grunt or snore.

Jet loves to go for walks but is not high energy. He does not pull but will occasionally dart to one side. He does show interest in squirrels and other small animals while we are on walks but is easily redirected.

He gets along with our senior beagle, Ruby, and is very respectful of her. Jet will wrestle, and play, but has grumbled at our younger male. I would recommend he go to a home with a female dog or he could be the only dog. Jet leaves our inside cats alone, but will chase the neighborhood cats outside.

Jet would be best placed in a home without any small animals, as well as without any small children, as he will jump at hands thinking a treat is forthcoming.

9 MAY 2016: Jet is now fully vetted and ready for his foster or forever home!

Jet is a 2-year-old male beagle that is very friendly and good with other dogs.  He was a stray at the Amelia County, Virginia animal shelter, so his history is unknown.  Jet still needs vetting and will be available soon.

  1. Wondering what Jet’s special needs are. Do you know his weight/height? I have a 13″ 12yr old purebred beagle & looking for another. However, I live in the Poconos, PA.

No small children or cats. He is a 13″ beagle weighing about 20 lbs. He has no special needs.

      • Jet sounds like the right size for my 13″ beagle. I sent you a message in contact…. I am very interested in him but had more questions.

      • I submitted adoption application for Jet on Sunday.

        • Awaiting interview from BREW Volunteer on adoption..
