I've Been Adopted! Jennie3

Age: 1 year

Gender: Female

New from foster: Jennie is very sweet and cuddly.  She loves to play and has been a very good house guest.  She learned the doggy door and goes outside to do all her business.  She sleeps quietly in her crate at night.  She is small, but has a good beagle appetite.  She loves to be with people and dogs alike.

Jennie, 1 year old small spayed female, vetted and ready for a new home.  She is very friendly and good with other dogs but came to the Louisa Co. Animal Shelter as a stray so her history is unknown.

    Hi Larua,
It is Tammy Smith (formerly Enright) I hope you are doing well. Gwenny has been gone over a year so I am starting to think about another beagle girl. Can you tell me how much Macy and Jennie weigh? I would like a petite girl like my Gwenny.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas.

Hi, Tammy – I am so so sorry to hear about your loss but excited to hear you are considering adopting again. I believe both Macy and Jennie are under 20 pounds, and I’ve sent inquiries to their foster moms for more better information. Another small girl you might consider is Pollyanna (Annie), who weights about 19 pounds.

        Hi Erin,
I will take a look at Pollyanna as well.

        Thanks,
        Tammy

Hi, Tammy – I’ve learned that Jennie has actually already been adopted – there are so many “moving parts” at BREW that updates can be delayed. I apologize for the confusion and hope we can get back to you on Macy soon. Annie is my foster so I’m happy to answer questions about her.

            Hi,
I checked out Pollyanna. I had looked a her before but I live in a townhouse and noticed she would might not be a good fit here. However, I would be interested in meeting Macy. Where is she being fostered? Since I am a prior BREW adopter, will I need to go through whole process again? Let me know.

            Thanks!

Hi, Tammy – sorry about the delay. Yes, Annie, is on the loud side (not constantly, but she does talk when she wants something and when we come home – she’s quiet through the night, though). Macy is in MD. Since you are a previous adopter, you can go ahead and get in touch with Laura at laura@brewbeagles.org, and let her know you are considering adopting again. You do not need to go though the whole process again. Thanks!

    hi there

we are looking for a friend for my lab and my kids 5 and 9. My lab lost her BFF and we have decided on a beagle and need one asap, We live in a loving home with a fenced in yard and sounds like jennie would be a great fit

    • Laura w/ BREW

      Cacy,

Please submit an adoption application on our website. Once we receive it and the $15 app fee, I will assign it to a BREW rep who will set up a phone interview with you.

Please note that we will work with you to find the right beagle for your family.

      Thanks.

We have a 1 1/2 year old beagle we adopted a year ago and would love to adopt a “sister” for him! He’s about 22 pounds and loves to play with other dogs. I noted you said Jennie is small, so I wondered if you thought she would be overwhelmed by our dog’s enthusiasm and size. We would certainly love to meet her!

    • Laura w/ BREW

      Lori,

I’m not sure if she’d be intimated by a larger beagle. If you haven’t applied to us before, please submit an adoption application on our website. If you have adopted from us, please email me privately and I can work on getting you re-approved. laura@brewbeagles.org

      Thanks.
