UPDATE - 24 JANUARY 2015: Hudson and Ash have adjusted quickly to their new foster home. They have discovered the comfort of the couch, going in and out at will, and toys. Of course, they need to learn some manners and be house-trained. Any shyness or uncertainty that was visible on their first night has disappeared. Both boys have been great with the other dogs and don't seem too interested in the cats. Given that it has been less then 24 hours, Ash and Hudson are doing amazing. Finally, they are both small boys - Hudson is a nicely proportioned 18 pounds.
Original info: Hudson and his 7 buddies hail from Preston, WV, where they were part of a group of 45 (!) beagles taken in from one home by a small, rural shelter. They arrived with BREW on 22 January 2014.
Hudson is a fully-vetted, beautiful 3-year-old tri-color male beagle. He has a beautiful face with long soft ears. He is very friendly and has soft, soft fur. Hudson needs to put on a few pounds now that he has gone to his foster home. Stay tuned for updates from his foster mom.
Each of the Preston County beagles is going to need some time in a foster home to learn how to be a pampered house pet before they are ready to be adopted. This may take more time for some than it does with others. Thanks to all, including the shelter, transporters, foster homes, and donors, who have helped BREW help these wonderful beagles!
