I've been adopted with Clayton!

Age: 4-5 years

Gender: Male

3/12 update:

Grayson is a super sweet, shy little beagle boy. He has been in his foster home for seven weeks and grows more confident daily, but slowly. At first he didn’t want to come in on his own, which he will now do most of the time. When he doesn’t, he will just crouch down near the door wagging his tail and wait for someone to get him. He also doesn’t want to eat in front of us – or around the other dogs. So he and brother Clayton eat in another room. And sometimes they don’t eat all of their food. Amazing for a beagle. But good for them since they are both a bit chubby and need to lose a few pounds. Grayson weighed in at 29 pounds in January and is working toward 25 pounds.

One of the best things about Grayson is that he is an excellent cuddler and loves to get belly rubs but isn’t demanding about it.

Grayson and Clayton were given up together and I think they may have been outside a lot. The yard seems to be their comfort zone. But they both also love the bed (the people bed). So much so that they both got over their fear of moving around the house.

Grayson does bark a bit outside when he sees something worth barking at, but doesn’t keep it up and is quiet inside. He is a good boy – housetrained and not destructive. And he and Clayton have recently begun to play with one of the resident beagles.

And to top all his cuteness off, his tongue is almost always peaking out of his mouth. It really is adorable.

Grayson and Clayton are really sweet boys.  They are still a bit overwhelmed since coming to their foster home, but they find a lot of comfort in each other (they were given up together).  These boys love wandering the yard, and love to cuddle up together on a favorite chair.  And they are happy to go to the kennel at night.

Grayson is  housetrained and not destructive.

Although they easily go from house to yard coming back in is still a challenge.  We’re working on that and they are making progress!

Grayson is a 4-5yr old little male neutered beagle gentleman that is fully vetted and eagerly wanting to learn to be a loved companion. He's a little reserved but friendly and good with others dogs. He was an owner give up in Culpeper County but the reason is unknown.

A big thank you to the wonderful person who adopted Grayson and Clayton together. I am so glad they will be able to stay with each other.

He is truly adorable. Love his write up too! He is surely coming around to becoming an indoor beagle. Great to read he and Clayton have begun to “play.” I know a special person/family is out there searching for a beagle boy or two to bring joy to their household.

What a handsome little guy – love his coloring. Prayers Grayson gets into a foster home soon so we can find out more about him.
