I've Been Adopted!DSC01486a

Gender: Female

Age: 4-5 years

6/19/2013- Giselle is still waiting for her furever home.  She is an adult puppy.......housebroken, affectionate, and playful.  She would love a family with children or another dog that likes to play.  She has full run of the house in her foster home and there hasn't been any problems.

1/20/2013-  Giselle is still looking for her furever home.  She acts so much like a puppy it is hard to realize she is 5 yrs old.  She loves to play with other dogs and with soft squeaky toys.  Although she can be high energy (no doubt the Jack Russell part of her), she's also calm and content to play on her own or snuggle up on the couch.  She would love a energetic family and would keep the kids busy for hours.

9/9/12:  Giselle has settled in quite well. She is housetrained to the doggy door, and is not at all vocal. I've only heard her bark a few times in the last two weeks and she has a very quiet voice. Personality-wise, she's a puppy. High energy, very active, kissy face and playful. She loves stuffed toys and tosses them about often. We're still working on losing weight. She's a small girl that should weigh about 20 lbs. She would do well in any family. She's gentle enough for kids and good with other dogs. With neither, she can amuse herself with toys or running laps in the house and yard. She is not crate trained, but has the run of the house in her foster home.

Got my foster home, got my squeeky toy.  Life is good!!!!

Giselle is a small 4-5 year old female beagle that looks like she really needs a break.  She's friendly, outgoing and gets along well with other dogs.  She was a stray in Abingdon, VA so her history is unknown.

She is a great dog – I truly can’t believe she hasn’t been adopted yet. If someone would go and meet her, there is no way they could leave her behind!

Giselle looks like a gal full of life! Happy, wonderful pictures of her. Hope she finds a forever home soon!

Oh my goodness Laura, is Giselle still available? Her coloring and temperament (especially the running around and the JRT traits) make me think she may be a distant cousin of our late great Megan. If you tell me she has a love of pizza I think I would fall over. Please let me know what her status is. Thank you.

Hi Jodi! I’m Donna and I’m fostering Giselle. She is still available. I’m sure she’d love to share pizza with you!

You have got to go and meet Giselle! She is absolutely adorable. I know you will fall in love with her. She is a great beagle gal – I’m surprised she is still available.

I met Giselle this weekend; and she is absolutely adorable! I would never believe she is 4-5 years old. She is so energetic and so playful that she reminds me of a 2 year old beagle. She constantly wagged her tail, sat on my lap, and gave me kisses. She played with her toys, we played tug, and then she took a short nap. She would make a wonderful addition to any family.

would like to know how she is with kids

I am fostering Giselle. I believe she may have been in a home with kids. She gets very excited and greets them when she see them. She’s very gentle, playful, and has the energy of a puppy, but she is not at all nippy even while playing.

Lynnette – I have never met Giselle so I don’t know her size, height, etc. However, Giselle is going to a foster home tomorrow so we will find out a lot more about her. I do think that she is a little overweight but hear she is very playful. I know her foster person will update everyone about her soon.

Would be great to see this adorable little beagle get into a foster home so we can find out more about her.

You say she is a little girl – how tall – would you say she is a 13″ beagle? Also, how much does she weigh, as I am retired and picking up heavier dogs is difficult for me.

    Hi Laura:

I am an approved foster for Brew in Delaware and I would foster Giselle if she is OK with a cat and still needs a foster.

    Let me know, OK

  11. How can i go about adopting her my housband and i have a 1yr old lemon beagle and we would love to have another one to pamper and spoil. Please let me know more.

    • Laura w/ BREW

Samantha, to get the process started, please fill out an adoption application found on our website. Once we receive it and the $15 app fee, we can assign a BREW representative to work with you. Thanks!

if you sponsor a beagle…do we do the shots, and things like that…i think i’m approve for adoption…so, maybe for sponsorship that could turn into staying. i think my boy needs a playmate. may help him stay alone he wouldn’t be alone!!

What is her size and weight…is she a smaller or medium sized Beagle? High energy or low energy? Thanks!

At adoption day today, she discovered a stuffed toy and enjoyed some play time including some tug of war. She is very sweet.

  15. Deb Szymanik

She has the happiest little face – looks like she enjoys just being outside sniffin around for critters. Hope she gets into foster soon.
