I'm Available!

UPDATE - 03 JUNE 2018 (forwarded through Manny's foster mom): Hi, I’m Manny. That’s what my foster mom calls me. I am a very young 8 year old. Now don’t get me wrong, I sure love lounging on a chair but I also enjoy running around the yard and playing with my foster sisters. Life is good in my little world.

I am a very quiet boy unless I see something outside. I am very easygoing and laid back. I really like when my foster mom gives me hugs and back scratches. She says I am a very good boy.

I’m not food aggressive but if my foster sister walks away from her dish and there is food left over, I will help myself to it.

We are all very relieved that my heartworm test was negative and now I can just concentrate on being a dog, with no restrictions! And I don’t have to be in a crate all day. That makes me very happy.

Now I really would like to find a family of my own. I am good with kids and dogs. Not sure about cats. So if you are looking for a more mature, loving, well behaved beagle boy, I’m your man!!

UPDATE - 31 MAY 2018: Gentleman (now called Manny) has been hanging out in his foster home while being treated for heartworms. He was just given a clean bill of health and is now ready for adoption! He is a wonderful "gentleman" who seems to be good with kids and is crate trained and house trained.

NEW - 18 MARCH 2018: Gentleman is an 8 year old beagle boy who is people and dog friendly. He’s a low key fellow that was a stray at the Green County Animal Shelter, so his history is unknown. He will be available soon for fostering or adoption.

  1. I’m an older Gent (understatement) who just lost his 13 yo Beagle soulmate. We belonged to each other for 5 1/2 years. Need a considerable void filled. Manny sure seems to “fill the bill”. I think we’d fit wonderfully ! I’m a retired executive who wishes a little one to be the Center of my universe ….and who is a “love boomerang”. Have a couple questions, but Manny will want for nothing if we become a pair.
Regret I cannot fill out an application right now…. don’t use PayPal and mailing a check takes too much time. Will gladly give you my Amex
to quicken adoption decision. Hope to hear from you soon. Kindest regards, Tom

Hi Tom – We’re so sorry for the loss of your beagle soulmate. We all understand that void, so thank you for reaching out to BREW to adopt another beagle who needs a forever home. Unfortunately, we need you to fill out an application before we can move forward with getting you in touch with Manny’s foster family. We require a telephone interview to go over your application and an in-person homecheck before anyone can adopt one of our beagles. If you would prefer to fill out an application off-line, I can email you an application. You can then mail in the application with cash or a money order. As with most rescue organizations, we need to go through this screening process to ensure our beagles end up in safe and loving homes. I hope you will reconsider filling out an application so we can talk to you more about Manny.
