I'm Available and Looking for a Foster Home!

UPDATE - 15 NOVEMBER 2018: Elvis is now fully vetted and available for fostering or adoption.

NEW - 28 OCTOBER 2018: Elvis (aka Eleven) is a 3-year-old beagle boy who is small and weighs about 19 pounds. He’s friendly and good with other dogs. He has had vaccines and is heartworm negative, but he still needs to be neutered. He came to BREW from a hoarding seizure in the country of Isles of Wight in Virgina. No other history is known. He will be available for fostering or adoption soon (Note: Elvis poses with his left leg raised - there is nothing wrong with the leg!).

  1. My wife and I are in love with Elvis, we have had two beagles in the past. We have been married 37 years. Our two children are grown and have their own families now. Our most recent beagle “Lucky” we had for about 5 years was a rescue from MdSPCA. He had to be put down for health issues, my wife & I took it very hard as we loved Lucky so very much. We are now ready for our next “non puppy” rescue. We know and understand the breed and that is why we would love the opportunity to adopt Elvis. Our one hurdle is that we live in Baltimore City and do not own a car. We are both at home all the time as we are on SSI. But, we have no way to come to Virginia. Please let us know if there is any way for us to adopt Elvis. I assure you he could not find a more loving home.
    Thank you,

Hi Ernie and Lauren – Thank you for your interest in Elvis. We have other people also interested in this cute boy, so we don’t know how long he will be available. You first need to be approved to adopt from BREW. To be approved, we need you to fill out an application so we can assign a volunteer to work with you directly. You can find the application at http://www.brewbeagles.org/brew-adoption-process/. We will also need to do a home check. Even if Elvis gets adopted soon, I hope you will consider some of our other adoptable beagles. We have many who need good homes. Once you are approved to adopt from BREW, we will work with you to figure out a way for you to meet beagles. We have several foster homes near Baltimore, so that will help. We look forward to your application!
