I've been adopted!

Age: 5-6 years

Gender: Male

Hi!  I'm Doug.  I love lots of attention and scratches and kisses.  My foster mom (or "FM" for short) says I'm on the small side, which means I'm the perfect size for a lap!  (She calls me a "snuggle nugget."  I'm not sure whether to be embarrassed by that.)  And I definitely like to hang out on laps (because that leads to attention and scratches and kisses - see above).  FM has explained that I'm not supposed to mark my territory IN the house - who knew? - so I don't do that anymore.  And sometimes I get kinda distracted outside and I forget to do my "business," so FM says you've got to be patient with me.  But mostly, I'm good at pottying outside; I keep my crate neat and clean when FM disappears for long periods of time several days in a row to "work."  (What's THAT all about??) I love to be outside and smell all the smells and meet people and dogs and mark my territory.  (It's OK if I do it outside - FM says so.)  I try not to pull too much on the leash, but sometimes FM doesn't walk fast enough for my nose and I gotta let her know to speed it up.  I'm a man of few words - or barks, actually - so FM says I'd be good in a condo or apartment (whatever that is).  I really like meeting other dogs - especially if they'll play with me - but my favorite are PEOPLE.  I just LOVE people!  So hey, Forever Family, here I am, just waiting for you to take me home!!

Doug, 5-6yr old tri-color male, fully vetted.  He is friendly and good with other dogs.  He was a stray at the Abindgon Shelter so his history is unknown.

Love his pictures – especially the one of him on his hind legs. You can see he is a happy guy by just looking at his face. I have a feeling Doug won’t be without a home very long.
