I've Been Adopted!

Age: 4-5 years

Gender: Male

June Update: Dickens is a very good, very sweet and beautiful liver beagle boy.  He is a quite shy at first and takes a little while to warm up to you.  He would do best in a house with another dog.  If he thinks he is left home alone without a person or dog he cries quite a bit.  He is a loving 25 pound boy who will do almost anything for a belly rub.  He is crate trained, however, if he doesn't have another dog around him he cries and get a little bit of anxiety.  He has had a couple accidents in the house, but he is working on that.  He loves to cuddle with his humans and is quite a couch potato.  He also is a heavy sleeper and when he is tired nothing can get him up not even treats.   He would do best in a house with older children as well because loud noises scare him still.  He is also not a barker so he would be good in an apartment.  He loves dogs, cats and older kids.  When my one-year-old niece cries he gets scared and runs away from her.  If you have room in your heart for a boy who just wants to be loved, please give him a chance.  I guarantee you you won't be sorry you picked him.

Dickens is a 4-5yr old neutered male beagle that is fully vetted and ready for a new home. He's very friendly but submissive with people and does well with other dogs. He was a stray with Roo and Cinnamon at the Louisa County Animal Shelter so his history is unknown.
