UPDATE - 31 MAY 2014: Delila and Odie came to their foster home one week ago and had completely different responses. They arrived while I was out and were spending time in the yard with my husband. Immediately upon my stepping into the yard, Delila ran across the yard to come greet me. Odie on the other hand, snuck up to me, let me pet him and then found the best hiding place in the yard. One week later, Delila remains her lovey self, and Odie has really opened up.
Delila is a real lovey girl – she makes it clear when she wants attention. She accompanies her attention seeking with little cries. One could almost think she was unhappy, but the wiggling body and tail show otherwise. She is a confident little girl and is a good companion to Odie. She sleeps quietly all night in a kennel with Odie. Delila is a big cuddler, but isn’t (yet anyway) a big kisser. She loves to run and play, Odie being her best playmate. She is also good with the cats and the cats aren’t fearful of her. I can’t really comment on house training yet – we did have a couple of accidents last weekend, but that can just be the stress of a new situation. She is a fast eater, but isn’t food aggressive. Loves treats – of course.
24 May 2014: Delila recently moved into a foster home. Here's a VIDEO of her with her current foster brother, Odie.
20 May 2014: Delila's vetting has been completed, and she is now available for adoption!
Original info: Delila is a 3-year-old beagle girl who will be available for adoption after her vetting is completed. She is very friendly and good with other dogs but was a stray in Louisa County, Virginia, so her history is unknown.
