I've Been Adopted!Delaney Dot

Age: 3 years

Gender: Female

QUICK UPDATE - 27 MARCH 2014: They have only recently moved into a foster home, but Delaney's foster mom reports that she and her sister, Colleen are very sweet, seem to be house-trained, and are cat-tested and approved!

Original info: Delaney is a 25 pound lass. She is tri-color, 3 years old. She came to BREW from Lexington, VA. She is instantly friendly when approached by people. This is a good thing because she is a people magnet. Everybody just wants to pet her and get her attention. She likes the attention and gently wags her tail throughout. She gets along with other dogs, and travels well. Delaney would be a shoe-in for Miss Congeniality if it weren't for her rescue partner, Colleen. Between the two of them, it is a photo-finish, probably a tie.

  1. March 25th to date I have not heard from anyone who handles the applications as to where to mail my check for $15.00 . I also did not receive any feedback as to when and where I could meet any of the dogs that may be a good match, and if my application was approved.. thank you

Hi, Christine – sorry about the delay. A BREW volunteer should be in touch soon. Thanks for your patience.

  2. I have filled out an adoption application on line but did not send in the $15.00 fee as I did not have the address. We are interested in adopting a companion beagle for our alpha 3 year rescue beagle. Our older beagle age 12 was put down a month ago due to severe seizures as a result of Cushings Disease. We would like to travel to Newark De from our home in Lewes De to Petco to see if we could find the right match for our Kayle. From the photos on line these dogs may be a possibility. Russell. Kobi, Spence, Delaney and Colleen. Will any of these dogs be available for adoption on Saturday? Please keep me informed . Thank You. Christine

Hi, Christine – I’ve passed your message on to some folks who handle applications, so hopefully one of them will be in touch soon. The dogs you mention are all currently in Virginia, and most are not yet in foster homes. The list of dogs currently anticipated at Saturday’s event are listed HERE. Don’t fret if there aren’t any dogs on that list that sound like a good match – other arrangements can be made for approved applicants to meet dogs. Thanks for your interest!
