I've Been Adopted!

Darla is a beautiful, 1-and-a-half-year-old spayed female that is fully vetted and ready for her forever home.  She was an owner give-up to Louisa County Animal Shelter because she was "gun shy" although she is not very shy at the kennels.  She's super sweet, gets along well with other dogs and loves food (hers and everyone else's)!

  1. Is she or has she started potty training yet?

Hi, Casey – Darla is currently boarded at a kennel, so we do not yet know if she is house-trained. Once she moves to a foster home, we will know more about her (and work on house-training if she’s not already). Thanks for your interest!

  2. I would live to foster Darla. I have a 5 year old rescue , Beagle named Beaz that would love her. I live in Baltimore, MD

Hi, Candy – thank you for your interest in fostering! Most of our dogs are fostered in the greater DC area, and our events are primarily in Northern Virginia, but we do have some volunteers in your area. Please go ahead and fill out a foster application to begin the process. You can find the application and other information HERE.
