UPDATE - 28 FEBRUARY 2018: Cinnie has been a great little houseguest for almost a month now. She manages getting on the sofa easily and loves snuggling. She also manages stairs very well, although like with the sofa going up is much easier than going down. She does occasionally fall over, but this doesn’t seem to phase her. She will let you know if she needs to go out and will use a pee pad if she has no other option. Due to her situation, she resides and has sole access to the living room. She will let the other dogs know with a little bark if they get too close to her space.
UPDATE - 17 FEBRUARY 2018: Cinnie joined us today for our adoption event, and she wobbled around and was sweet and friendly with everyone she met. She enjoyed sitting on laps, having her ears scratched, and taking treats. This poor girl has a little trouble with her balance since she is missing one of her front legs, but she gets around just fine. She is currently staying with our kennel manager, and she says Cinnie is housebroken and loves to sprawl out on her couch (yes, she can jump up on the couch!). Cinnie would make a wonderful pet for a family who is able to overlook her disability and just love her as she is.
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: Cinnie (aka Cinnamon) is a 7 year old spayed beagle girl who is sweet as a cinnamon bun! Obviously she was someone’s pet because she’s spayed and has had a front leg removed. She gets around well and knows how to play. You will not find a sweeter little girl. She’s house trained, great with animals and people alike. Stay tuned while we find out more about her. She was stray at the Louisa County Animal Shelter so her history is unknown. She will be available for fostering or adoption soon.
