Cheyenne is a 10 year old female beagle who has recently been returned to BREW. She was not happy and when her family of eight years was unable to figure out why or how to correct the situation, they made the difficult decision to have BREW find her a more compatible home. She has been with her current foster family for the last two weeks and fits in well with the three resident female beagles. She attended an adoption day her first full day with them and made friends with people of all ages and with lots of dogs. Cheyenne has not yet been tested with cats. She weighs about 24 lbs, loves to walk and will potty on leash. She currently has the run of the house all day and night and likes to explore the back yard using the doggy door.
A true beagle, Cheyenne is all about food and treats. She’s a little quick to grab, so we are working on that but she is not at all food aggressive; she just wants to share if there is something available and she will climb given the chance to get a treat.
Cheyenne does not bark and never has; there’s no medical reason. This trait does make her a good prospect for apartment or townhome living. She loves to be rubbed and will burrow up under your arm to keep the stroking going. She sleeps either on a dog bed or on the floor by her foster mom’s bed. She’s got a lot of love to give and would be perfect for a home where there is someone home most of the time and /or another dog for company.
Cheyenne travels well in the crate keeping it clean and dry. She has not had an accident since she has been with her foster family. Check out her pictures; this one beautiful little beagle girl.
