I've Been Adopted!

Age: 3 years

Gender: Male

2 NOVEMBER 2014: Meet Bowser!  His favorite things are rolling in the grass, food and treats, belly rubs, rolling in the grass, telling stories (i.e., howling), and did I mention rolling in the grass??  He also likes to play with his foster brothers...when they'll cooperate.  He is currently in a condo but I think he would really like a fenced yard where he can run (and roll!).  He is energetic but he also likes to nap, so I'd characterize him as between "high energy" and "couch potato." He is incredibly friendly and sweet.  He is 95% housetrained; he still very occasionally has peeing accidents.  That usually happens on days when we don't follow our normal schedule.  During the work day, he is crated and he does fine in his crate.  At night, he generally chooses to sleep in his crate but I don't close the door so he can come and go at will. The main thing we're working on is his howling.  He is pretty vocal, mostly when I just get home and he is let out of his crate and when I'm getting his dinner.  He used to be more vocal, but he's gotten over a fair amount of it.  He definitely settles down in a crate and stops howling when he's crated.  He is a great little guy and just looking for his family who will love him forever.

Original info: Bowser is a 3-year-old neutered male beagle who is fully vetted and ready to go!!  He was an owner give-up because he didn't hunt.  He is friendly, a little submissive and gets along great with small children and other dogs.

We are interested in meeting “Bowser” please give us some info on a meeting, as we have been interviewed and our vet background checked.

Hi, Jerry – thanks for your interest in Bowser, Sandy, and McCoy! Please work with the volunteer who conducted your interview, who can put you in touch with the dogs’ foster homes. I will also pass your inquiries along to her. Thanks!

Hi there! If anyone is reading this, I submitted an application a week ago (and paid the fee) and I haven’t heard back yet. We may be interested in Bowser (or Sugar or another dog you may suggest). I hope that we can connect soon! Thank you for all that you do!

Hi, Joanna – we have received your application, and one of our volunteers should be in touch in the next several days. Thanks for your patience!
