UPDATE - 8 MAY 2016: Blueberry has turned out to be one of our easiest foster dogs. Fortunately she follows whatever our regular dogs do. She comes to us when called, and plays in the yard nicely. It is fun to watch her racing in circles with our youngest dog.
Blueberry came to us already house-trained! She is not needy or demanding at all as she will sometimes choose to find her own spot in our living room OR she will jump up on the sofa with you if you want her to. She will definitely follow the lead of the humans in the house. Blueberry walks well on the leash although she was not comfortable around loud traffic. I think she was a country dog in her former life because large crowds and loud noises do alarm her a little. When we had company come over she stayed quietly out of the way.
Blueberry is a very unique looking beagle! Her color is unique in that she is mostly a speckled white with a big black spot on her back like Snoopy. Also, she rarely barks and is basically just a smart and easy-going canine.
First impressions: Blueberry is a 4-year-old female that is friendly but a little reserved. She was given up along with Apricot at the Culpeper (Virginia) Animal Shelter. Although she was an owner give-up because they couldn't keep her anymore, little information was given about her. Blueberry still needs vetting and will be available soon.
