I've Been Adopted!

Pupdate - Nov 19 - Bennie is a sweet, gentle goofball.  His tail has three speeds and none of them are stop. He Is house and crate trained and loves people. He rarely barks and really seems to enjoy snuggling on the couch. It seems likely that Bennie used to be fed at the table, so he is a bit chunky and will need daily walks and measured food to help him get back to an ideal weight. Bennie also will need a little work on socialization with other animals.  He is not aggressive, he just seems unsure about how to act around other animals sometimes, particularly when a treat or a toy is available.

Bennie is a 4-year-old male beagle from the Culpeper, VA shelter. He's neutered and has had his shots.  He was brought to the shelter by someone that said he was a stray but also that Bennie is housetrained and slept in the bed with her son.

  1. Will he be at the Manassas adoption event on the 15th? Do you know anything more about his temperament? Shy? Laid back? Friendly?

Hi, Anne – Bennie is currently in a kennel awaiting a foster home, so I’m afraid all we know about him is what is listed here already. We are working on our list of dogs for this Saturday, and I am not sure whether Bennie is expected to attend – please check back soon! Thanks for your interest!

  2. Can he be adopted for permanent?

Hi, Anna – all dogs listed as “available” or “available and looking for a foster home” are currently up for adoption. Depending on the situation, BREW may require that an adopter look at fostered dogs, as we know much more about them. More information on our adoption process is available HERE.
