UPDATE - 13 JANUARY 2019 (from her new foster mom): Angel has been in my home for a week now. She is a very submissive female who initially peed whenever I went towards her. She needs to gain her confidence as she will run if you approach her. She has caught onto the doggy door and is not afraid of stairs. She is motivated by food and will take a treat from my hand but that is the only time she will not run from you. However, if I am sitting on the couch or laying in bed, she has no problem laying next to me. She enjoys putting her head on you while she sleeps and gets along well with the other three beagles in the house. I think another dog in the house (but not necessary) and human patience would help her continue to increase her confidence. She initiated play with her foster brother yesterday and actually was barking while running in the yard. Because of her skittishness, she would probably do best in a home with older children or no children.
UPDATE - 6 JANUARY 2019: Angel went to her new foster home today, so stay tuned as we see how she does. She was a little scared and overwhelmed during her transport, but we are hoping she will settle down once she realizes she is in a safe and loving place.
NEW - 23 DECEMBER 2018: Angel is 3-year-old female beagle who still needs to be vetted. She’s friendly, quiet and fairly low key. She seems to be happy now that she has a warm bed and regular meals. She was a stray from Buckingham County in Virginia, so her history is unknown. She will be available soon.
